Tracing its roots back to Coakley Bros. Company, a privately held, family owned commercial moving, storage and distribution company with over 100 years of history in Wisconsin; CoakleyTech started as a division of Coakley Bros. in 1982 providing technical publication distribution services for a large Milwaukee based medical manufacturer.

In 1999, company founders Neil Coakley and his daughter Peggy formed this division as a separate operating company named CoakleyTech.

The vision was to provide a truly flexible, client centric document management solution that focused on lowering operating costs and reducing cycle times thereby making CoakleyTech’s customers more competitive in today’s challenging economic and global market.

In 2002, a new senior team led by former Xerox and Gartner executive Chris Illman was brought in to grow the company and implement the company vision.
